American Legion of Honor Report of Deaths Boston March 23, 1887

This is a notice from the Supreme Council to the Subordinate Councils advising them of the amounts of benefits paid and assessing them a pro-rata share to cover this expense. The reverse of the document is signed in script by Adam Warnock, Supreme Secretary. It is signed byEdward B. Lewis, Collector. The name of John M. Gwinnell, Supreme Treasurer at Newark, NJ, is printed in the text on the reverse.

The document lists the names of the deceased, as well as occupation, Location of Council, Degree, Name of Council, When Admitted, Age Assessed, Date of Death, and Cause of Death, and Benefit Paid. Lots of good information.
